St Mary’s & St Luke’s Services, Readings, News & Church at Home Resources for 20 June 2021 – Trinity 3

Weekly Information Sheet

The Weekly Information Sheet has service times, in church and online, readings for the week & news & information. It is available on here weekly and in print in church. We are keeping this Blog for larger items that won’t easily fit on the Weekly Sheet and we will signpost to these from the printed sheet.

Due to the delay, until 19 July, of implementing Step 4 of the Government’s Roadmap, the Mothers’ Union Meeting planned for this Wednesday (23/06) can’t go ahead and has been rescheduled until 21 July (restrictions permitting). Jenny Hall.

Come and join us in church at St Luke’s & St Mary’s

We would love to see you back in church!
You no longer need to book to attend worship at St Luke’s or St Mary’s.

COVID-19 and attending church – a reminder of the basics…

  • Wear a face covering (unless you have an exemption)
  • Sanitise your hands on the way in and the way out
  • Complete a Test & Trace Slip or Scan the QR code on the slip at the pew (not mandatory)
  • Maintain a 2m Social Distancing whilst in church
  • Do not sit close to those not in your household/bubble, we have the seating arranged for you to do this, please follow the signage
  • Remain in your pew once you arrive and do not walk about the church and talk to others
  • Refrain from singing or loud conversations

By keeping to these simple practices, we show regard for others and help keep the church a safe place to be. Thank you. Revd Mike.

Giving to St Mary’s & St Luke

The church’s finances are under extreme pressure at the moment. I would ask you to review your personal giving to the church. If you already give regularly then perhaps consider increasing your giving, if you don’t give regularly then perhaps consider doing this. I really do appreciate the giving that happens already and the extra giving that has taken place during the pandemic. However, due to the lack of income from not being in church and from not being able to let the church hall, plus our outgoings being fairly fixed, we have lost around £30,000 in the past 12 months. This obviously places us in a difficult and vulnerable financial position. To find out more about giving to church, the ways you can do it, and how you can do it in a tax-efficient way, please take a look below. Please keep our finances in your prayers.
