Commemoration Service 2020
Sunday 1st November 6pm Online
Each year we normally invite those whom we have taken a funeral for in the past 3 years to join us in church for a Commemoration Service. However, due to the Covid-19 restrictions on how many people we can accommodate safely in St Mary’s we have decided to hold the annual Commemoration Service for 2020 online only and we hope you will be able to join us. You are welcome to join us and submit a name even if your loved one’s funeral was longer than 3 years ago or even if we didn’t take the funeral. As we are online we can welcome more people to this service, so you would be more than welcome to join us.
The Act of Commemoration
Central to the Commemoration Service is the lighting of candles and the remembering of loved one’s names, and we plan to recreate that online. During the service, we are still offering for you to have your loved one’s name remembered at the Act of Commemoration when we will light a candle and, if you send us your loved one’s name (or names), we will scroll them across the screen during the act of Commemoration.
You can use the form below to request the link and submit the names of your loved one(s). Please note that we will not use any names unless you give us permission to do so.
Please use the form below to submit a request to have your loved one’s name(s) remembered in the service – closing date for submissions: 28 October at midnight
Alternatively, you can email the information below to Revd Mike at email@example.com
